Sometimes you just need a quick and easy card in a hurry!!  Here’s an idea for how you can make the easiest greeting card ever using designer series paper.

Don’t you hate it when you don’t have the right card on hand??  I do!!  Even with all the cards that I make, sometimes I find myself without an appropriate card to send.  Read this blog post to learn how to handle these times.

When I find myself short of a needed card, I turn to my stash of designer series paper.  So many of the paper patterns lend themselves to being the star of the card.  It’s so quick and easy to make a card with a stunning paper design and simply add a greeting.  The entire card can take less than 5 minutes to make!!

Here are some samples of the easiest greeting card ever using designer series paper.  I received  these cards in a swap and have credited the creator.  Even though each card follows the same basic idea of using designer paper and a greeting, notice how each card is very different from the others by use of color or embellishment.

All the cards use paper patterns from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series paper pack.  And, all but one of the cards use the “thank you” greeting from the Love What You Do stamp set.

This first card was made by Brenda Cardinal.

PROJECT NOTES:

  • This designer paper piece was cut exactly the same size as on her first card.  However, on this card she only added one mat (Whisper White 4 1/4″ x 3″)
  • She flipped the orientation of this card to be portrait.  Her first card was landscape orientation.
  • Sentiment was added to a banner piece (punched with the Banner Triple Punch).
  • She tied a piece of Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine around the banner piece.  Sentiment is attached with Stampin Dimensionals.

This next card uses the same designer paper pattern as Terri’s card.  It was made by Cathy Seal.
