We are away from home visiting family this weekend. I don't have a project to share today because I wasn't able to complete one before leaving on Friday.
However, that doesn't mean I can't leave you with some inspiration today, so I'm asking you to think about the question in my post title - What's your creative style?
My own answer to this question is one that has evolved throughout my creative journey. I can say that my natural tendancy is toward the clean and simple design cards. That being said however, I'm always up for trying a new technique or process, even if it isn't clean and simple. I certainly didn't arrive at my answer overnight. It has been through the process of creating and experimenting that my answer has become clear to me.
Maybe your creative style is something that you've never considered. If so, don't expect to have an immediate answer to my question. However, commit yourself to the process of discovering the "what" of your creative style. As you create, I encourage you to become engaged in the process. Think about what it is that you like and don't like. Keep a creative inspiration journal that includes ideas, colors, and notes about things that inspire you. After you get in the habit of analyzing these things, it should become apparent to you what your style is.
For me personally, one of the greatest benefits to identifying my style is that it makes the creative production process easier. I know the things/styles I tend to gravitate toward and embrace them.
I hope I've inspired you to think about your creative process. I'd love it if you'd leave a comment about what you discover.
Have fun stampin' it up!
