Today's challenge for SUO Challenges was to create something for Mom. I had a card that I was considering using, but decided to opt for this project instead. Inside this folder is a post-it note pad (I don't have any photos of the inside, sorry).
I made the folder from Wisteria Wonder card stock and used my Scoring Tool to create the fold lines. Next I cut a piece of Sweet Shop designer paper to fit the top fold over flap and attached.
Did you know that the points created by the Labels Collection dies work wonderfully to create a closure? That's what I did for this holder. I ran the end with the designer paper attached through the Big Shot (you will only run it through far enough to cut the end, then back it out) and then cut a slit in the bottom piece of the folder into which the point will fit.
Flower is punched with the Fancy Flower punch and sponged with Concord Crush ink. Leaves are bird wings from the Bird Builder punch. Ribbon is retiring Concord Crush.
We'd love it if you'd join us at SUO Challenges! What card or project are you making for Mother's Day?
