Thanks with Bright Blossoms

Rose Red Roses Vase

I hope you have enjoyed all the cards and ideas that I've shared during this past month using the Bright Blossoms stamp set and Summer Smooches designer paper.

On today's card I used the oval designer frame embossing folder and my Big Shot to create the frame for the stamped image.  Ink colors are Wild Wasabi and Rose Red.  The second rose bud was created using the one of the leaves on the leaf stamp image.

My newsletter will be sent out tomorrow, so make sure to sign up for my mailing list if you aren't already.

Bright Blossoms Circles

Playing with Bright Blossoms Circle

Today's card came about when I decided to play with the circle image in the Bright Blossoms stamp set.  I started with the line of circles on a piece of scrap paper, and as I was considering what direction to take it came to me to punch out the centers and weave 1/8" Marina Mist tafetta ribbon  through the holes.  It makes a nice border piece, don't you think?  I used a piece of scrap ribbon attached with Tombow multi-purpose glue to make the "leaves"  for the circle flower in the center scallop square.

Stop back tomorrow for one last Bright Blossoms card.

Featuring Designer Paper

Smooches Thanks

Isn't this a gorgeous card??  I discovered the idea on another blog (thank you for sharing Laura Lipe) and decided to try the card using Summer Smooches designer paper and the Bright Blossoms stamp set.  I think it packs a WOW! factor.

I have two more cards to share using Bright Blossoms stamp set, so make sure to stop back the next two days.  Starting on Wednesday, I'll be sharing some cards I made with the Everyday Eleanor stamp set from the NEW 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Catalog.  This was a stamp set I received back in January when I attended the Leadership conference.

Razzleberry Bright Blossoms

Razzleberry bright blossoms

I know, I know…but I can't stop playing with them.  I know that I have posted LOTS of cards lately using the Bright Blossoms stamp set.  I can't help it…that stamp set is TOO MUCH FUN to play with!!

Last week I was preparing card samples for my upcoming Card Buffet event.  We will be doing a card very similar to this one at that event.  But, this was one of my "trial samples" in the process of creating.  I eventually decided to stamp the piece differently, but this was too cute to toss, so I added some retired Rich Razzleberry tafetta ribbon and here's the resulting card.

The "bow" is actually a regular bow and after tying it, I simply slit the loops so that the ends are loose.  That left a small bit of loose ribbon, which I put in place with a bit of Tombow Multi-Purpose glue.  The Rich Razzleberry card stock flower is punched with the BoHo blossom punch and has an adhesive pearl attached.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit today.

Make and Take at our last Demo Meeting

Bright Blossom Thanks

This was make-n-take project using the Bright Blossoms stamp set was one we made at my upline's demo meeting earlier this month.  She got the idea from Jill Franchette.  I LOVE THE SIMPLICITY OF THIS CARD!

One edge of the bottom piece of Whisper White card stock was punched with the scallop border punch.  Then the whole piece was put in the Stripes embossing folder and then run through the Big Shot.  A narrow strip of Basic Black card stock was attached behind before mounting to the card front.  I think it gives the look of a picket fence.  Love this technique and we will be using it soon at a workshop near you!  If you give it a try, let me know how it works for you.

Playing with Fabric

Playing with Bright Blossoms

I decided to play with the Summer Smooches fabric on today's project and love how it turned out.  I simply tore the fabric into 1 inch strips, cut to length and then attached with Tombow Multi-Purpose glue.

The two stamped pieces were created with the flower center from the Bright Blossoms stamp set.  I simply stamped off and then stamped around the edge.  Then I went back and filled in some areas with a fully inked stamp.  I think it makes a great border look.  What do you think?  Leave me a comment and let me know.
