I hope you have enjoyed all the cards and ideas that I've shared during this past month using the Bright Blossoms stamp set and Summer Smooches designer paper.
On today's card I used the oval designer frame embossing folder and my Big Shot to create the frame for the stamped image. Ink colors are Wild Wasabi and Rose Red. The second rose bud was created using the one of the leaves on the leaf stamp image.
My newsletter will be sent out tomorrow, so make sure to sign up for my mailing list if you aren't already.
Today's card came about when I decided to play with the circle image in the Bright Blossoms stamp set. I started with the line of circles on a piece of scrap paper, and as I was considering what direction to take it came to me to punch out the centers and weave 1/8" Marina Mist tafetta ribbon through the holes. It makes a nice border piece, don't you think? I used a piece of scrap ribbon attached with Tombow multi-purpose glue to make the "leaves" for the circle flower in the center scallop square.
Stop back tomorrow for one last Bright Blossoms card.
Isn't this a gorgeous card?? I discovered the idea on another blog (thank you for sharing Laura Lipe) and decided to try the card using Summer Smooches designer paper and the Bright Blossoms stamp set. I think it packs a WOW! factor.
I have two more cards to share using Bright Blossoms stamp set, so make sure to stop back the next two days. Starting on Wednesday, I'll be sharing some cards I made with the Everyday Eleanor stamp set from the NEW 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Catalog. This was a stamp set I received back in January when I attended the Leadership conference.
I've got yet another Summer Smooch card to share today. I just can't seem to get enough of this set!! I decided to try the Herringbone technique using the Summer Smooch designer paper. I like the resulting look.
There are only THREE days left to take advantage of the Summer Smooch Suite pre-order. Once May arrives, you'll have to wait until the new catalog debuts on June 1 to order these products. Don't miss out. Contact me today or shop my online store. Product numbers are: Bright Blossoms stamp set (W 125495, $166.95; C 12597, $12.95) Summer Smooches designer paper (125589. $6.95).
Stampin' Up! published the accessories that will no longer be available in the new 2012-2013 catalog. Click here to see what's retiring. Please note that items are available only as long as supplies last. My best advice is to SHOP NOW to make sure the items you want are available. Many times products sell out within hours of the list being released.
I know, I know…but I can't stop playing with them. I know that I have posted LOTS of cards lately using the Bright Blossoms stamp set. I can't help it…that stamp set is TOO MUCH FUN to play with!!
Last week I was preparing card samples for my upcoming Card Buffet event. We will be doing a card very similar to this one at that event. But, this was one of my "trial samples" in the process of creating. I eventually decided to stamp the piece differently, but this was too cute to toss, so I added some retired Rich Razzleberry tafetta ribbon and here's the resulting card.
The "bow" is actually a regular bow and after tying it, I simply slit the loops so that the ends are loose. That left a small bit of loose ribbon, which I put in place with a bit of Tombow Multi-Purpose glue. The Rich Razzleberry card stock flower is punched with the BoHo blossom punch and has an adhesive pearl attached.
I participated in a Vendor Fair yesterday and had these cute little water cans for sale. Wouldn't it brighten anyone's day to receive one of these cheerful cans?
A couple notes for this week. The Stampin' Up! retired accessory list will be posted THIS Wednesday, April 25. Also, there is only ONE WEEK left to order from the current Occasions Mini catalog. Make sure to place your orders for any products from that catalog before May 1. You can order here, in my online store. Select the products tab and then shop now.
I've been sharing LOTS of ideas with the Bright Blossoms stamp set this month because it's available as a pre-order through the end of April, and then won't be available again until June 1 when we can order from the 2012-2013 catalog. Have you ordered your set yet?

Thanks for being a customer and have fun stampin' it up!
This was make-n-take project using the Bright Blossoms stamp set was one we made at my upline's demo meeting earlier this month. She got the idea from Jill Franchette. I LOVE THE SIMPLICITY OF THIS CARD!
One edge of the bottom piece of Whisper White card stock was punched with the scallop border punch. Then the whole piece was put in the Stripes embossing folder and then run through the Big Shot. A narrow strip of Basic Black card stock was attached behind before mounting to the card front. I think it gives the look of a picket fence. Love this technique and we will be using it soon at a workshop near you! If you give it a try, let me know how it works for you.
I decided to play with the Summer Smooches fabric on today's project and love how it turned out. I simply tore the fabric into 1 inch strips, cut to length and then attached with Tombow Multi-Purpose glue.
The two stamped pieces were created with the flower center from the Bright Blossoms stamp set. I simply stamped off and then stamped around the edge. Then I went back and filled in some areas with a fully inked stamp. I think it makes a great border look. What do you think? Leave me a comment and let me know.
April 30 is the last day for the current Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog and the SUO Challenge this time around is to use products from that catalog.
The Bordering on Romance stamp set is still one of my favorites (and I really hope they carry this one in the new 2012-2013 catalog!!). I practiced my watercoloring technique on today's card and discovered that Pool Party makes a great color to use for a subtle background! I also used Calypso Coral, Wild Wasabi, with a touch of So Saffron in the flower centers.
What products will you use from the Occasions Mini Catalog when you join us at SUO Challenges?
Well, Stampin' Up! posted their retiring stamp sets list today. It's always sad to say good-bye to some old friends, but is necessary to make way for the new to come. Be ready…the list is VERY long…close to 200 retiring sets.

While you're shopping, remember my Summer Smooches order special. Include these two items with your online order, and I'll email you the project directions.
Today I'm taking a break from my Bright Blossoms and Summer Smooches projects.
Last night our church book club met and we had author Susan May Warren as our guest speaker. Normally we meet in a local ice cream shoppe and keep things pretty casual and low key. However, because we had a guest speaker we met at the church and fancied things up.
The coordinator of our book club is a creative gal and she dreamed up and made these gift bags as a way of giving out the doorprizes. Each little bag contained a Dove chocolate (YUM!) and a door prize drawing number.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you enjoy your weekend.
Are you ready for yet another card made with the Bright Blossoms stamp set and Summer Smooches designer paper? I'm certainly enjoying using these two NEW products.

As mentioned yesterday, here's a video I made showing you how to tie a square knot to add to your craft projects. This is a simple, basic knot that can be used in many ways. If you find it difficult at first, practice…practice…practice. Soon it will come naturally to you!
Card Stock: Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
The Summer Smooches designer paper and Daffodil Delight ribbon are from the NEW 2012-2013 catalog and available to customers for pre-order ONLY DURING THE MONTH OF APRIL. Contact me today if you'd like to place an order.
Stop back tomorrow. I will be posting a video tutorial on how to tie a great knot like the one in today's card.
Today's card is one that I created "just for the fun of it"! I LOVE playing with paper and creating quilt-like cards. I used the NEW Summer Smooches Designer Paper to create this cheerful card. I used a non-Stampin' Up! punch that I have in my studio to create the diamond shapes and drew the stitches with my Island Indigo marker.
I've been PLAYING in my staming studio. I LOVE to experiment with different ways to use stamps. The leaves stamp in the Bright Blossoms stamp set was crying out to me to try something different, and I obliged! The result was this quilt card.
This is a very simple card to create. I stamped the leaves twice, and THEN punched out with the 1 inch square punch. Sentiment is from the Friendly Phrases stamp set. Colors are Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade. Designer paper is from the Summer Smooches paper pack.
Have I convinced you to buy the Bright Blossoms stamp set yet??
The SUOC Challenge for this time is to create a card to congratulate someone who did something noteworthy! I haven't had much opportunity to play with the Bright Blossoms stamp set and Summer Smooches designer paper yet, so took this challenge as the perfect reason to start.
The colors I used were Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade. Sentiment is from the Friendly Phrases stamp set.
Now it's your turn to share your congratulations project with us at SUO Challenges.
