Paper Ornament Idea

Teddy

One of my customers was looking for a unique ornament idea for Christmas this year and this was what I suggested.  She made one for each of her grandchildren and then this one, for her new "Wild Thing" kitty.  I think they turned out adorable.  Quite honestly, I don't remember where I found this idea, but think it's a great way to commeorate a special occasion!  The ornament is created by scoring and folding double sided designer paper.  My customer inserted the red in the photo area to make it stand out.  Thanks for allowing me to share this!

Only one more day left in 2011… and only a couple more days remaining to order from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Happy New Year!  Have fun stampin' it up!

Gingerbread Man Punch Art Tutorial

DSC03250

As promised, here's my tutorial on how I created this cute gingerbread man.  In the picture below, you can see which punches I used.  Soft Suede was the color card stock he was made from.

My next photo shows what needs to be done to each punch to prepare for assembly.

Next, it's time to put him together.  I like to use two-way glue.

Add the "icing" details with a white gel pen.

Attach his shirt.  The left side shows what the shirt piece looks like before you fold the tab to the back, the right side shows the finished look.

Here's what he looks like with pearl eyes and rhinestone buttons.

SUOC – Using Punches

SUOC Gingerbread Man

The challenge this time on SUO Challenges was to use punches as the focal point.  I created this Gingerbread Man with punches.

He reminds me of when I was a child.  Every Christmas when we would go to visit my Grandma, she would ALWAYS have a homemade Gingerbread Man cookie decorated especially for me!  Such fun memories to recall.

Stop back tomorrow for a tutorial on making this cute little guy!

Now it's YOUR turn to create a project using a punch as the focal point.  Join us here, at SUO Challenges.

Baroque Motifs Card

Black and White Thinking of YOu

This lovely card was another we made at our local demo shoebox swap and makes for a ver nice card.  Baroque Motifs and Curly Cute are the two stamp sets used on this card.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.  As you read this, I am with my husband's family celebrating and enjoying time together.

Have fun stampin' it up!

Christmas Lodge

Christmas Lodge

Here's the card I received in the mail the other day from my upline.  I LOVE this Christmas Lodge image, but didn't purchase the stamp set however.  It's such a lovely image and I like the sparkly snow she added on the rooftop and ground.

Thanks for stopping…have fun stampin' it up!

My Digital Studio Card

MDS Card

I'm departing from sharing Christmas cards today, to share this birthday card in honor of my Dad's birthday, which is today.

This was a card another demo brought that we made at a local demo meeting shoebox swap, and all the pieces on it were made digitally using My Digital Studio.  The stamped image was just printed in black and I colored him in using markers. The Turtle & Co stamp set makes a great birthday card!

Golden Serene Snowflakes

Golden Serenes Snowflakes

I don't claim ownership for this card…it was one I received in a swap in 2010.  The sentiment that was on it retired, so I took it off and added a different one.  This is a GORGEOUS card…Night of Navy background with gold embossed snowflakes from the Serene Snowflakes stamp set.

I don't think we'll be having snow for Christmas here in Minnesota.  Temperatures have been very mild for this time of year, and the little white stuff that was on the ground has all melted.

Thanks for stopping…Christmas will be here soon!!

Have fun stampin' it up!

Dasher in Plaid

Plaid Dasher

I just LOVE this Dasher stamp!!  He is so versatile.  Here I used some of the Frostwood Lodge Designer Paper.  The silver background is actually Waffle Paper that I ran through the Big Shot using the Petals-A-Plenty folder.  I really like the way it looks!

Thanks for stopping…only four more days till Christmas!!

Have fun stampin' it up!
