Here's the tutorial for making this paper craft corn stalk bundle. It's very easy and goes quickly. Start with two pieces of card stock, each cut 3 1/4" by 4". I used So Saffron and More Mustard. Attach a piece of sticky strip down the center of one piece, peel off the backing and stick both pieces together. "Finger roll" the card stock pieces to break the paper fibers a bit.
Next, make a "fringe", cutting through both card stock pieces from the edges toward the center. As you can see from the photo below, the center part of the card stock remains intact.
Once all the fringe is cut, "finger roll" the card stock pieces. This may need to be re-done a couple times to soften the paper. When the paper is soft enough for a smooth looking snug roll, apply a small piece of sticky strip at the very end of the card stock to hold the stalk in place. Peel off the backing and complete the roll. Fluff each of the fringed ends outward to make it look like corn stalks and allow it to stand.
To finish off the paper craft project, tie a small piece of Early Espresso 1/8" tafetta ribbon around the center of the stalks. I punched the pumpkin out of a piece of Cajun Craze and attached a small piece of the Early Espresso tafetta ribbon for a stem and then attached it to the bottom of the fringe.
Well, that's it!! Didn't I tell you it was easy? Thanks for stopping by today.
